Session Delivery Guidelines

First, please include a copy of the current rough mix so I can ensure all parts made it over intact.

Pro Tools, Logic, or Reaper

If you're working in one of these DAWs, please send the session used for the most recent rough mix. Delete any unused tracks and audio. Print MIDI tracks to audio, and commit any instances of Auto-Tune or Melodyne. Leave all plugins, volume, panning, and automation exactly as they are.

Please freeze all tracks with plugins before sending the session. This step is essential to ensure everything plays back correctly.

Verify the session still sounds like the rough mix, and then Save As or Save A Copy to a new folder (including audio files). Send the session as a .zip file.

All Other DAWs

Please send a single folder with all audio files to be mixed, exported from 0:00. Each track should be printed as a stereo stem, including all volume, panning, automation, plugins, and wet FX to match the rough mix as closely as possible.

The mix buss should be bypassed for these stem prints, and screenshots of plugins included so it can be rebuilt over here. If other busses are critical to the sound (e.g. drum buss), please also bypass when printing and include screenshots for these.

If there are any group blends you’re happy with (e.g., violins, trumpets, choir), feel free to print with processing as stereo stems.

In addition to the fully processed tracks, please include an option of dry lead vocals without processing (other than tuning) if available.

Sessions can be sent via your preferred file sharing service. If you need additional space please let me know and I can generate a Dropbox file request.
